The British government is set to progress with utilizing the full worth of immobilized Russia's assets to bolster the Ukrainian war effort, Leader Sir Keir Starmer has declared.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this unified step would heighten pressure on Moscow's head Vladimir Putin and urge Russia to engage in negotiations.

They clarified that the move would be implemented in close cooperation with the America.

British sanctions have frozen more than £25bn of Russia's funds since Russia began its full-scale invasion against the Ukrainian nation in 2022. Yet, up to this point, resources sent to the Ukrainian government using Russia's holdings had solely been sourced from gains and dividends earned on them.

Sir Keir told President Volodymyr Zelensky that the Britain, France, and the Federal Republic of Germany were in agreement in their aim to push forward toward employing the complete amount of the seized Moscow's national funds to halt hostilities.

He noted that more restrictions soon would increase the strain on Moscow.

This statement is subsequent to EU representatives convened in the Danish capital previously to consider utilizing immobilized Russian assets for a €140bn credit to the Ukrainian nation.

Recently, President Donald Trump encouraged Group of Seven partners to take or otherwise use immobilized Russia's funds, as reported by news outlets.

The total of seized Russia's funds in the EU is assessed to be approximately €211bn.

The Russian government launched widespread aerial attacks all over Ukraine on recently, resulting in blackouts in large parts of Kyiv, the city, and multiple additional areas.

While applauding the UK's consistent assistance for the Ukrainian government, he noted it should indicate firmly that it would participate in the program, as well as enforce more sanctions on the Russian Federation.
